On February 23, our youth led the Church service.
The theme of the service was What If Jesus Came Back
Like That? We worked for several weeks to prepare a
service that we would be proud to present as a gift
to God.
We gave two awards for the second year in a row. One award is the Unsung Hero Award. This was given to Mrs. Dawn Stone for her unrecognized work with the youth of our church. The second award is the Linda Snyder Lifetime Achievement Award. This was given to Mrs. Jean Lambert for all of her work in our church throughout many years. This award is given in memory of Mrs. Linda Snyder, a wonderful lady, who impacted all of the people she met, until the Lord took her home. Mr. Boyd Snyder presented our youth group with a picture of Mrs. Snyder. This picture reminds all of us what the kind of life we should be striving to live.
After presenting the awards, we sang "Angels
Among Us" as a way of thanking all of those people who
have been angels to us, most of whom don't even know
the impact they have made. Before the sermon we sang
"What If Jesus Came Back Like That." This song discusses
the way Jesus would be treated if he came back as a hobo
or a child born to a mother on drugs.
